netMIND Success Accelerates Product Releases
vtectMIND and realMIND Expand Portfolio and new netMIND compact unit

Today RCM Enterprises, announced that the success of the netMIND Internet firewall appliance has propelled the development of additional products.  Prototypes of the two new releases are now scheduled for beta testing during the fourth quarter of this year or Q12001.  Development of the new netMIND compact unit for the consumer market is also ahead of original schedule, with the general distribution anticipated within the next two months.

vtectMIND addresses virus vulnerability – a significant concern for any organization that relies on Internet communications to transfer data among employees, or whose employees can receive external email.  vtectMIND offers a cost-effective, flexible security solution for each PC and for the local network.  The user can isolate their PC and network from potential viruses by choosing to open email attachments in the vtectMIND device.  If vtectMIND opens an infected attachment, neither the user’s PC or the network can be infected.  Once attachments are deemed virus-free, the user can feel confident about loading the attachment on his or her system.

The second new product, realMIND,  is specifically designed to address real estate industry needs.  Typically real estate offices set up a common computer area where realtors share PCs.  These multiple user configurations present a number of maintenance and technology issues such as individuals loading software packages that are incompatible with existing software.  The net result is lost productivity, increased frustration and high demand for technical support.

 realMIND eliminates these issues.  A dedicated Multiple Listing Service (MLS) access workstation, realMIND sole purpose is to enable realtor to access the MLS information they need, when they need it.  Networked through a netMIND unit, the MLS is always accessible and available for use on as many workstations as desired, while requiring only one Internet access point or phone connection.  At less than half the investment of individual PCs, realMIND is an affordable, reliable solution.

netMIND  will also be introducing the newly designed netMIND Internet firewall appliance packaging.  netMind features a secure Internet firewall and provides a single Internet access point for multiple PCs.  It supports bandwidths from 56K up to a T1 connection all in a 3 x 4 x 1-inch footprint.
